How to use a result

Treat every result on PrintKinetic as a starting point for judgment, not a final answer. A recommendation reflects the inputs you gave and the assumptions stated next to it. Your printer's actual calibration, your specific filament batch, your workspace's temperature and humidity, and the true conditions your part will face in use can all shift the right answer away from what a planning tool suggests. When a result matters, validate it with a test print or a small production run before committing material or time at scale.

Strength, fit, and load estimates

Any tool that discusses strength, wall thickness, infill, or dimensional fit is comparing options and surfacing tradeoffs, not performing certified structural analysis. FDM/FFF parts are anisotropic: strength along a layer line is not the same as strength across layers, and that difference depends on your printer, your material, and your process settings in ways a general tool cannot fully know. PrintKinetic never represents a part as guaranteed printable, safe, certified, or fit for a specific load. A part with real safety consequences if it fails needs qualification testing and, where appropriate, a licensed engineer.

Material and process guidance

Material comparisons and process recommendations are based on manufacturer datasheets, widely reproduced calibration data from the printing community, and general mechanical principles. They are not a substitute for your specific filament manufacturer's own datasheet, safety data sheet, or printing guidelines, which take precedence whenever they conflict with a general default shown here.

What this site does not attempt

PrintKinetic launches with desktop FDM/FFF planning only. It does not cover resin/SLA printing, SLS, metal printing, food-contact certification, medical devices, aerospace parts, or any other regulated production process, and nothing on the site should be read as guidance for those contexts.
